We Are The Sons Of No One

One of my favorite sayings to anyone who demands a certain deceased family member or late friend come through in a reading is, "I'm not Burger King. You can't have it your way" The reason why some loved ones don't come through is simple. They don't want to. Just like you can't force anyone to do anything they're against doing here. Imagine forcing someone without a body to do ANYTHING. If someone was difficult in life, mean to you and left you feeling low when they left this world to go high, there is a high probability that they will carry their issues into the next realm. Yes, you see all of these glorious reconciliations between spirits, lost souls on earth and the medium on TV constantly. Yes, they do happen and happen often but death, just like life, comes with no guarantees. That apology you never got in life? What makes you think you will get it in death? If your reading is informative, inspiring and eye opening yet missing that long-awaited "I'm Sorry", did you waste your time?
I'll ask a slightly different question. Were you wasting your time waiting for the apology? Our egos tend to get us into some extremely emotional situations that become draining and eventually scarring. We all hate rejection of any sort. Even when we truly do not want what's on the table, we will secretly question why we weren't offered a piece. In life we spend a lot of time seeking validation from someone who simply refuses to give it to us. We develop anger, resentment and even hatred toward these deniers of our emotions yet for some seemingly instrumental reason, focus way too much energy on finding a way to MAKE them validate you. We make these people a lot more important than they deserve, simply because they keep us out of arms reach. The Replacements were a mid-western alternative rock band from the mid 80's who wrote lyrics that should be written on one wall in every house on planet earth. In 1984's Bastards Of Young, lead vocalist Paul Westerberg sings "The ones who love us best are the ones we lay to rest, visit their graves on holidays at best. The ones who love us least are the ones we aim to please, if it's any consolation, I don't begin to understand"
A reading from a medium can provide clarity, connection, and yes, even redemption but the readings ONLY purpose is to give you what you need to move forward from a fresh perspective. It can't give you what's not yours to take. Sometimes we love the wrong person. Sometimes we love in the wrong way. Sometimes we simply focus on the ones who deny us reciprocation. If someone you crave a message from doesn't come through, it is a great opportunity to come clean about your earthly relationship. It gives you a chance to appreciate those that did take the time to cross realms and perhaps re-evaluate THAT connection. A reading will always give you a chance to see clearly. Just keep in mind that when a medium clears the air with you, you need to be prepared for not just what appears, but what doesn't
