Who Won't Get Fooled???

Bruce Springsteen wrote some profound lyrics throughout a career that started just 3 years into the 70's, yet no one line of his stands out more to anyone questioning themselves as the last words of his 1987 classic, Brilliant Disguise

"God have mercy on the man who doubts what he's sure of"

The Moon will come up in a tarot card reading and often be interpreted as deception. A natural reaction to that declaration is the question, "Who is deceiving me" and almost never do WE answer "The person looking back at me in my mirror"

How often do we miss what's being spelled out in front of us? Why is it that so many others, some extremely detached from your situation, can notice the foreign lipstick on their spouse's collar, see the takeover of your business a mile away, detect your "BFF's" lies likes it nothing, yet you never see it until it's too late?

No one will lie to us harder, and more prolifically than... US. When we don't want to see something, we won't. The Moon card in tarot shows us that everything is not as it appears to be, but what it doesn't say, is why? The answer is almost always that key line in "A Few Good Men" We lie to ourselves, we avoid reality often, because we can't handle the truth. More than once I have been approached for a reading and before I can get a word out, will be told by the would-be client, " Oh I just have to warn you, I am very hard to read. No one can read me" It's at that point I end the session. It's not for my ego to spend time working with you intuitively. It's for the reader who is looking for help along in their journey to make better decisions that can serve them better than they are serving themselves currently. Walking in with an attitude of "You can't help me" tells me all I need to know. You aren't ready to help yourself. You aren't ready to hear the truth. No matter how experienced a liar may be, you have the ability to see the truth. If you get fooled often, it's time to ask yourself why.

In the somber ballad One Step Up, The Boss makes this statement

And me, well honey, I'm pretending"

The marriage he was writing about seemed like his own at the time when you take into account that the woman doing backing vocals on that song was the woman he was having an affair with. The entire world could see what was going on, but somehow the boss needed a paparazzi photo and God knows what else to face reality.
